Drum Heating Cabinets

Preheating & Melting

The customer required the installation of two units consisting of 4 drums (back to back) above the 3m high mezzanine.

The problem was solved by:

  • designing a base for using forklift truck to move the cabinet
  • installing a pneumatically operated piston on the door to make opening/closure automatic
  • 2 heating cabinets for 4 drums/1 container, running on electricity, temperture up to +150°C, door opening automatic by means of pneumatically operated piston. Detail of installation layout

Base made of tubular elements with underlying structure consisting of UNP 80 and UNP 220 beams for provision for using forklift truck and fixing

Galvanised steel interior, carbon steel painted in RAL 7035 with standard cycle

Doors

1 single leaf door, with automatic opening by means of pneumatically operated piston

Control panel (Process + Logic):

1 master control panel + 1 remote controls panel, wall-mounted at a distance of 3m from the cabinets. Wiring by means of junction box. Siemens ET200SP remote peripheral installation for automatic remote control
